Sea of Conquest Best Ship Setups (October 2026): Heroes and Hulls for Every Ship

For Sea of Conquest players who have heroes but no plan for which ship they go on, and Gang leaders checking fleets before a fight. Checked October 2026.

Short answer: Build your Flagship first, then one Artillery or Strategic ship until your server leaves Season 1. From Season 2 add Cutthroat, then Drowning or Blaze. Support comes last. Each ship has a starter crew and an upgrade path, so start with heroes you own and swap in better ones as they arrive.

Most fleets lose because good heroes sit on the wrong ship. Our ship types guide explains what each damage type does. Every ship at a glance

Crews read Captain / First Mate / Gunner. "Upgrade path" is the order AllClash swaps heroes in as you unlock them.

How to use the table

1. Start with the starter crew. These are heroes most accounts own early.
2. Follow the path card by card. Stop at the first swap you cannot make yet. The crew before it is your ship today.
3. Never put an SP hero back on the bench for a regular one. AllClash's rule is simple: an SP hero is never replaced by a non-SP hero.
4. Watch for heroes in two plans. Umar, Wanda and Elizabeth Sheen show up on both the Flagship and Support paths. One hero can only crew one ship, so give them to the Flagship first.

What to build, and when

AllClash's formation overview splits a fleet into three phases.

Phase 1: Season 1

Build the Flagship for defense and support. Add one damage ship, Artillery or Strategic, based on the heroes you have. Keep your gathering fleet going. That is enough until your server finishes Season 1.

Phase 2: Season 2 and fleet growth

Season 2 brings more ship blueprints. Add ships one at a time, not all at once:

• Cutthroat for fast burst on one target.
• Drowning or Blaze for damage over time against high armor.
• Better hulls for your Strategic ship as they unlock.

Phase 3: endgame

Add a dedicated Support ship that heals and buffs the whole fleet. AllClash says this matters once you reach the later seasons. Your Flagship can then go fully defensive. Spenders can go one step further: turn the Flagship into a decoy with taunting heroes to soak the first hits, and build a separate defensive ship.

The biggest mistake in every phase is building too many ships at once. Five half-built ships lose to three finished ones.

The Semaphore Station slot

Matching ships to fights

• Enemy fleet with many ships: Artillery leads.
• One huge Flagship or a sea monster: Cutthroat, backed by Blaze or Drowning.
• Long fights: Blaze and Drowning get stronger the longer it runs.
• Mixed targets: Strategic is the steady middle option.

For spenders and Gang leaders

• Spend on the next swap, not the next ship. Each row in the table is a shopping list. Buy the hero that unlocks your next card.
• Finish a ship before Showdown. One complete Cutthroat ship does more in late rounds than two half-built ones. See our Showdown o' Gangs guide.
• Split ship types across the Gang. If every top account runs Artillery, one tanky Flagship stops all of you. Ask two or three players to own Cutthroat and Drowning.
