For Puzzles & Survival players and alliance leaders who want more out of the same resources. Checked October 2026.
Short answer: Puzzles & Survival runs events every day. The main ones are Ace Commander, Break Loose, Trials of Survival, Alliance Showdown, Alliance Clash, Zenith War and Valiant Conquest. Most score points for things you already do, like speed-ups or hero fragments, so save resources and spend them inside the matching event.

Puzzles & Survival never stops running events. High Ground Gaming puts it simply: not a single day goes by without one. That is good news. Almost everything you do already scores in some event, so the gain comes from timing, not extra work.
Below is what each main event wants, grouped by type, and what to save for it. Exact days differ by server, so check the in-game calendar.
Solo progress events
These pay you for normal growth. Save the matching resource and use it inside the event (AppGamer).
| Event | What scores | What to save |
|---|---|---|
| Ace Commander | A different activity each day for a week | Fragments, speed-ups, stamina |
| Break Loose | Raising Might | Builds and research near completion |
| New Development | Speed-ups on builds, research and training | Speed-ups |
| Hero Upgrade | Hero fragments | Recruit coins, Hero Choice cards |
| Army Expansion | Training troops, more for higher tiers | Food and training speed-ups |
| Gather Supplies | Gathering, including Rare Earth | March slots ready |
| EVA & Module | EVA points and Module materials | Module materials |
| Chip Upgrade / Cube Upgrade | Chip or Cube items and materials | Chip and Cube materials |
| Diamond Expert | Spending Diamonds | Diamonds |
Break Loose changes its point rules every 8 hours (High Ground Gaming). Read the current rule before you spend.
Draw and spinner events
Doomfest (a lucky draw) and Joy 777 (a spinner) use special coins from daily quests or the Mall. The Diamond Exchange Shop is a short-lived shop that trades Diamonds for items like hero choice cards and enhance materials.
Challenge events
- Special Operations: a few puzzle attacks with hero limits. Rewards depend on your top damage.
- Attack on Destroyer: one big zombie for 24 hours. Each player gets 5 attacks a day, and marches move at 10x speed.
- Strike First: attack zombies and use stamina for alliance and personal points.
Damage events reward board skill. Our puzzle battle guide covers colours, grenades and rage.
Alliance events
- Alliance Showdown: 7 days of shared quests. Full rules in our Alliance Showdown guide.
- Alliance Clash: HQ 18+ and at least 10 members at that level. Runs 3 days, only day 3 is competitive.
- Alliance Trial: puzzle fights against bosses for top damage.
- Defense of Alliance, Dead Rising and Speaker Trap: started by leaders. See the alliance leader guide.
State and PvP events
- Zenith War and Wasteland War: every 2 weeks once a server is a few weeks old. Hold the central Zenith Tech hub for 8 hours to win. Turrets fire on anyone not in the holding alliance.
- Valiant Conquest: 24 hours. Travel to two other states for up to 4 hours to attack Sanctuaries or gather diamond mines.
- Nukaland: PvP gathering on a separate map.
Occasional events worth planning for
- Trials of Survival: 7 days, up to 25 reward tiers, about once a month. Finish most daily missions and some weekly ones.
- Distress Signal: every 2 to 3 months, the main source of Samuel fragments. Up to 3 free signals a day, and 30 more can be bought with Diamonds. High Ground Gaming suggests saving 450 signals, since using 9 at a time gives 10.
- Traveling Merchant: visits cost 20 AP, with 10 free keys a day. Locked boxes are one of the few Lee fragment sources. About 600 shovels guarantee the jackpot, so stock them between events.
Three rules for every event
- Read the point table before you spend.
- Spend in steps and watch the ranking.
- Check if event currency expires, and spend it before the end.
Reading the event calendar
Every server shows its own calendar in game. Use it with this guide:
- Find the next alliance event (Showdown, Clash or Trial) and the next state event (Zenith War or Valiant Conquest).
- Look for solo events in the same days that score the same resource.
- Save that resource from now until then.
The game runs on UTC and resets at 00:00 UTC (High Ground Gaming), so event days start at the same time for everyone on the server.
For spenders and alliance leaders
- Stack events. High Ground Gaming advises spending when two events share the same point rule, like a Break Loose round that scores Modules during EVA & Module. One spend, two rewards.
- Buy before the event, not during it. Have speed-ups and Diamonds ready the day before, so you decide on scoring, not payments.
- Leaders: post the next week of alliance events in chat every Sunday, with what to save for each. Members cannot save for an event they do not know is coming.
