For Last Z players who missed the patch notes, and leaders who need the short version for alliance chat. Checked October 31, 2026.
Short answer: The biggest Last Z changes from August to October 2026: a new Alliance Shop, two new research trees (Army Expansion and Leader's Will), new State Ruler points, skill and star ratings, reworked Clash for Glory, new rally rules, Hero Assistance, and Posts rewards that pay Rubies. Version 730 landed on October 12.
Last Z: Survival Shooter ships an update almost every week. Most notes are bug fixes. A few change how you should spend, research or fight.
Here are the changes from Version 722 (August 17) to Version 730 (October 12) that matter, grouped by what they affect. Some only apply to certain State brackets, shown in brackets.
Growth and research

Army Expansion is the big one for anyone short on badges, since it is badge free. Failed Area Exploration battles do not use a Hero Assistance attempt. For the badge side of research, see our T10 research guide.
State Ruler and Capital Clash
- Points rules (from Aug 23): each dispatched truck gives 100 Invasion Right Contest points. Plundering an enemy truck now gives 50, down from 100.
- Capital Clash points (Version 722): kills inside the Presidential Palace and Turrets give a lot more. Kills elsewhere give less, and hitting Headquarters outside the Capital and Lv.6 cities gives a lot less.
- Commander's Descent skill (727 and 728): the invading President or War Commander can call a strike that destroys season buildings, Headquarters and ruins in range. 15-minute charge, once per Capital Clash.
- New Personal Points (from Sep 19): while your side holds a 50% capture advantage and controls the Capital, anyone with a Headquarters inside the Capital or Lv.6 city areas gets 600 Personal Points per second.
- Star ratings (Version 730, S1 to S64): after State of Epics, the first-place State gains 1 Star per tally and all others lose 1, between 5 and 10 Stars. State of Legends unlocks at 8 Stars, State of Myths at 10.
- State Overlord title: at 10 Stars, the top 3 by Personal Points in Round 2 of the Presidential Palace contest get the title for 28 days.

Alliance features
- New Alliance Shop (725, live Aug 31): weekly limits, a free weekly Supply Chest, favorites and logs. Full details in our Alliance Shop guide.
- Rally power gate (725): rally launchers can set a minimum Power to join.
- Rally march lock (728): troops joining a rally, or leaving one, cannot change their march target on the way.
- Reinforcement speedup (728): only works when both start and target are inside city territory.
- Clash for Glory rework (Sep 22): 14-tile missile blast, 40K Alliance Center durability, 16-tile spacing. See our Clash for Glory guide.
Social and quality of life
- Full-screen translation (727 and 728) after purchase.
- Posts Popularity Rewards (730, S1 to S32): likes and comments on your posts give Popularity Points that unlock Rubies, emotes, chat bubbles and avatar frames.
- Pro License (730): post up to 9 images at once. Without it, 1 image per post.
- Recommend option (730): see posts from other survivors, or switch it off.
What to watch next
The notes keep pointing to more State Ruler and Clash for Glory tuning, and the S65 to S128 migration date is still open. Check our merger and migration schedule for State moves, and look for a new version every Monday or so.
For spenders and alliance leaders
- Spend on what lasts. Research trees and troop power stay with your account. Event packs end with the event. With Army Expansion badge free, check whether you still need badge packs before you buy them.
- Leaders: post the rally rules. The power gate and march lock change how rallies fill. Our rally guide has a short version for alliance chat.
- State Ruler is now about the Capital. Points moved toward the Palace, Turrets and Capital control. Top accounts should plan to sit inside the Capital area, not chase Headquarters hits.
