For Last Z R4s and R5s who call Clash for Glory, and for rally leads who carry it. Checked October 31, 2026.
Short answer: Clash for Glory changed in September 2026. The Warlord Missile became Commander's Descent, with a 15-minute prep and a 10-second invincible launch. Its blast range grew from 9 to 14 tiles. Alliance Center durability dropped from 1.6M to 40K, and attackers win by taking Alliance Center 1 to zero.
Last Z: Survival Shooter shipped a second round of Clash for Glory changes on September 22, 2026. The update targets two things: missile strikes and Alliance Center offense and defense.
If your alliance still plays it the old way, you are giving away points. Here is every rule change, then a plan for leaders.
Change 1: the missile is now Commander's Descent
- The Warlord Missile is now called Commander's Descent.
- After the 15-minute prep countdown, a new 10-second invincible launch countdown starts. It shows live at the top of the world map.
- When that countdown starts, all troops outside and all troops assisting the Warlord Headquarters are recalled at high speed.
- The Warlord lands directly inside the Scorched Land area.
- R5 and R4 can swap the positions of two allied Headquarters. Each swap costs 4,000 Diamonds.
The same Commander's Descent name is used for the invader skill in State Ruler. There, the invading President or War Commander can cast it from one hour before Capital Clash until the end, from a Headquarters inside the defender's State. It charges for 15 minutes, can be interrupted (then a 30-minute wait), destroys season buildings, Headquarters and ruins in range, and works once per Capital Clash.
Change 2: bigger blast, wider spacing
| Rule | Before | Now |
|---|---|---|
| Missile blast range | 9 tiles | 14 tiles |
| Minimum Alliance Center spacing | Not stated | 16 tiles |
| Alliance Center durability | 1.6M | 40K |
| Natural durability recovery | 4 per second | 1 per second |
The bigger blast makes the Scorched Land area larger, so more members can fight on it. Centers placed closer than 16 tiles are blocked.
Change 3: Alliance Center offense and defense
- The attacker must first clear the guards inside the Alliance Center.
- Then the attacker enters the defender's Alliance Center 1 and starts draining its durability.
- If Alliance Center 1 hits 0, the attacker wins. Otherwise the defender wins.
- Garrison effect: each defending formation inside Alliance Center 1 restores 10 durability per second.
- Demolition effect: each attacking formation inside drains 10 durability per second.
With durability at 40K and recovery at 1 per second, the fight comes down to formation count inside Alliance Center 1. Bodies in the building matter more than one big hit.
What this means on the map
- Count formations, not Power. Ten formations draining beat five stronger ones. Plan who holds a second and third formation.
- Clear guards fast. Nothing drains until the guards are gone. Send your hardest hitters first, fillers second.
- Use the 10-second window. Everyone outside gets recalled when the launch countdown starts. Tell members not to start long marches in the last minutes of prep.
- Think before swapping Headquarters. 4,000 Diamonds per swap adds up. Decide the swap in coord chat before the event, not mid-fight.
Checklist before Clash for Glory
- Confirm your Alliance Centers are at least 16 tiles apart, or move them before the event.
- Name who sends formations into Alliance Center 1 on defense, and who drains on offense.
- Agree in coord chat whether you will use a Headquarters swap, and who pays the 4,000 Diamonds.
- Warn members that the 10-second launch countdown recalls everyone outside. No long marches late in prep.
- After the event, check the battle report and count how many formations actually entered.
What the notes do not say
The September 22 notice does not list Clash for Glory rewards, the event schedule or how many formations each player can send. Those can differ by State bracket. Check the in-game event screen, and tell us in Discord if you see numbers we should add.
For spenders and alliance leaders
- Formations beat single accounts here. If you spend, more marching formations and troop count help Clash for Glory more than one extra hero star. Our formation guide covers squad setup.
- Budget Diamonds for swaps. Leaders who plan two Headquarters swaps need 8,000 Diamonds ready before the event starts.
- Tell the alliance the new win rule. Post one line in alliance chat: clear guards, then everyone into Alliance Center 1. Most lost fights come from members who never enter.
- Leaders: see how Packsify works with alliance leaders on the alliance leader page.
