Pirate Siege is one of the first alliance events a new Last Beacon server meets. Pirates attack member shelters in waves, and the alliance scores by holding them off together.

The rules below come from the Pirate Siege guides by Dee in the official Last Beacon Discord, first posted on Sep 30 2026 and updated twice in October. The guides do not list reward amounts, and neither do we.

Why reinforcing is the key

The most useful rule is the reinforcing one. When you station troops in an ally's shelter, you get extra Defense Points, and the ally keeps all of theirs. Nobody loses. So the best Pirate Siege alliances reinforce as much as they can.

The updated guide adds three tips:

  • Garrison with as many marches as possible, sent to different alliance members, for the most points.
  • Spread your marches across several players, so more members get help and more of them score.
  • Check the event page often to see which members are still active and need reinforcements.

The 50% rule

A defense only counts as a success if your side defeats 50% or more of the pirate troops. The guide also says to defeat as many pirates as you can, since more kills mean more points and a higher alliance rank.

That makes weak shelters the risk. A small account with no reinforcements can fail the 50% line, and two failures that burn the shelter take that player out. Strong members should reinforce the weakest active players first.

Burned twice: you are not done

If your shelter burns twice, you are out of the event. But the guide is clear that you can still reinforce and garrison members who are still in. That helps them hold, and it still adds points. Tell burned members to keep sending troops instead of logging off.

Scheduling the event

Since an R4 or higher picks the start time, the time is a leader decision. The guide says to coordinate with the alliance on the best time and make sure members are online and ready. A Pirate Siege started when half the alliance sleeps is a Pirate Siege where half the shelters burn.

One player asked whether the event needs an Alliance HQ for the later waves, like in other games. Nobody answered that in the thread, so check the event page before you plan around it.

Do not switch alliances mid-event

If you leave your alliance after you join the event, you cannot keep playing it in a new alliance. Your points stay with the alliance you were in. Move after the event, not during it.

For spenders and alliance leaders

  • Troop count and healing matter most. Points come from defending and reinforcing, so more troops at home means more points. Training and healing speed-ups are the useful buys here.
  • Shield is not the answer here. Pirate Siege is about holding attacks, not hiding from them. Spend on defense and troops, not shields, for this event.
  • Leaders: post the start time a day ahead. R4s should pick a slot most members can make and post it early.
  • Leaders: pair strong and weak shelters. Give each strong member two or three smaller members to reinforce. That keeps more shelters above the 50% line.
  • Leaders: keep burned members busy. Remind anyone who burned twice to keep reinforcing. Their troops still count. More alliance events: Gold Grab guide, Alliance Duel guide.
