Short answer: Alliance Duel in Last Beacon runs in six phases: Rapid Expansion, Hero Growth, Threat Cleanup, Troop Training, Full Readiness and Power Surge. Each phase scores different tasks, so save speed-ups, hero shards and Rubies for the phase that counts them. On older servers, day 6 adds an Alliance Raid against another state.
Alliance Duel is the weekly alliance competition in Last Beacon: Survival. Your alliance scores points by doing the right tasks on the right day. The alliance that plans wins more than the alliance that simply plays more.
There is no written guide for it outside the game, so we built this one from the most used community guide in the official Last Beacon Discord, written by player Dee for new states. Where players disagree, we say so.
The six phases at a glance
This is the Week 1 list for new states from the community guide. It shows what each phase scores. It does not show point values, and we do not guess them.

What to save for which day
The simple rule: never spend a scoring item on a day that does not score it. Here is how that works in practice.
- Construction and research speed-ups: save them for phases 1, 5 and 6. Phase 1 and phase 5 both list them, and phase 6 scores all three speed-up types.
- Training speed-ups: phase 4 scores the training itself, and phases 5 and 6 score the training speed-ups. Start a big training batch on day 4, then finish it with speed-ups on day 5 or 6.
- Hero shards: phase 2 scores orange, purple and blue star-ups. Phase 6 scores orange again. Hold your orange shards if you can only push one day.
- Exclusive Gear Shards and Intelligent Cores: phase 4 scores both, and phase 6 scores gear shards again. If you are not sure how to use these items, open the hero gear screen before duel week, not during it.
- Cargo Ships: phases 1 to 3 all score Tides of Trade escorts and plunders. Do them on those days.
- Wild Beasts and Armed Pirates: keep stamina for phase 3, and plan an alliance rally window for the Armed Pirates.
What changes from server to server
Do not treat the table as fixed. In the same Discord thread, Dee says the days were switched between two duels on her server. A player on server 28 says they did not have the Tides of Trade event at all, and a player from server 25 says the event looked completely different there.
So use the table to learn the pattern, then check your own Alliance Duel screen each week. The phase names stay useful even when the order moves.
Day 6 on older servers: the Alliance Raid
Once your state is past its first duels, day 6 can bring an Alliance Raid against another state. Dee notes that the raid is different in later weeks and that new states do not get it in their first duel. Our SvS War Day guide covers teleports, buffs, the Wonder and the free heal day that follows.
After Alliance Duel, the Battlefield Aid feature (added in the Aug 12 2026 patch) lets members rescue troops lost in the Alliance Raid. Remind the alliance to use it.
Common mistakes in the first duel
- Using speed-ups the moment they drop into the bag. That is the most common waste.
- Starring up heroes on day 1 because the button is there.
- Running out of stamina before Threat Cleanup.
- Skipping the Armed Pirate rally because nobody set a time.
- Spending Rubies on speed-ups and assuming they count. Read the task text first.
For spenders and alliance leaders
- Buy for the phase, not the day you have money. Top-Up Points show up in all six phases in the guide, so any day works for points. Packs with speed-ups or hero shards are worth more if you open them on the day they score.
- Plan the Ruby task. Several phases list "Use 1 Ruby". Keep a small Ruby balance so every member can tick it without thinking.
- Leaders: post the week in chat. On day 0, post your server's six phases in alliance chat with one line each: what to save, what to use. Members follow a list. They do not follow a speech.
- Leaders: set two rally times. One for Armed Pirates on phase 3 and one for the day 6 raid if your state has it. Pick times that suit most of your active members.
- Track the quiet members. A member who scores zero on their best phase usually does not know the plan. A short DM fixes more than a kick.
