In your first week of Top Lords, push the Castle, keep every build, research and training queue busy, and put hero EXP into one five-hero squad. Join an active alliance early, link your account, and save gems until an event rewards what you plan to do. That order beats spreading resources thin across everything.

Before you start: protect your account
- Link your account to a sign-in method. A guest account is easy to lose when you change phones.
- Find your UID. Go to Profile, then Account. You need it to redeem gift codes on the official web store at store.toplords.com. See our Top Lords codes guide.
- Note your server number. Heroes unlock by server age, so your server's opening date matters later.
A simple plan for your first seven days

Treat this as a rhythm, not a rule. If one area is holding you back, fix that first.
Castle first, everything else second
The Castle is the heart of your town. Before you upgrade other buildings, check what the next Castle level needs and build toward that. Keep construction, research and training queues running all the time once they open.
The costs climb fast. Going from Castle 10 to 11 takes 1.7M Wood, 1.7M Food and 340K Coins, plus Scholar Tower I and Alliance Keep at level 10. Castle 11 matters, because it is the level you need to join Alliance Duel. Our Top Lords resources guide covers how to keep Wood and Food coming.
How the swipe battles work
Top Lords opens with runner-style battles: you swipe your army through gates, dodge or charge, and grow your troops before the fight. Look at each gate against the army you have now, not the one you want. When you lose, find the cause: damage on the route, a front row that broke, or too little damage at the boss. Change one thing and try again.
Heroes: one squad, not ten half-built ones
- Build one full squad of five. Put two durable heroes in the front row and damage or support in the back.
- Level that squad to its cap before you touch the bench.
- Use hero shards on heroes you field. Keep universal UR shards until your long-term squad is clear.
- Judge heroes by their skills and faction, not only the power number.

Gems: ask three questions before you spend
- Does this fix a lasting problem, not just a one-day one?
- Can I get the same thing for free if I wait a little?
- Is there an event right now that rewards this action?
