The changes that matter most

Two big collabs

The year opened with The Lord of the Rings collab, which ran from the January 29 update until April 1. Frieren: Beyond Journey's End followed from June 29 to September 1, with a collab minigame added in July. In late October, version 9.3.8 lists the Frieren collab original monsters. Our Summoners War collabs guide covers how both collabs worked and what to keep ready for the next one.

12th anniversary: Relics and Summon Mileage

The April anniversary update added a new equipment type, Relic, plus two new monsters, Dr. Electric and Dr. Plasma. It also brought Summon Mileage, and a 12th Anniversary Special Summon followed on May 29. Relics got more quality of life work in the next patches, so expect them to stay part of the endgame.

Less grinding on runes

Repeat Reappraisal, Repeat Conversion and Rune Repeat Enchantment all landed in the first half of the year. They cut the taps needed to fix and power up runes. Magic Crafting got its own quality of life pass in September.

Deck Presets and team sharing

Deck Preset arrived in late April and was improved twice. In July you could also share a profile deck, and Guild Battle Research gained preset loading. If you run several teams for Arena, Siege and dungeons, this saves a lot of rebuilding.

Guild content changes

Version 9.3.0 revamped guild content rewards, and 9.3.2 added a Strategy Info feature to Siege Battle. Challenge Battle also changed how monsters are handed out and how matches are made.

For spenders and alliance leaders

  • Anniversary window (April to July): the 12th anniversary update came in April, a Special Summon followed in May, and the 12-Year Point Shop ran from June 8 to July 5, where using Crystals also gave points for scrolls, Devilmon and Rainbowmon. Plan the year's biggest Crystal buy for the next anniversary.
  • Collab weeks: collab characters come from collab summons and run only for the collab period. Both 2026 collabs ran for about two months, so you have time, but buy while the collab is live if you want a collab monster.
  • Rune Summon Package (Violent): the new repeat tools make rune work faster, so a rune pack pays off sooner now. Buy it in a week you will actually farm and craft.
  • Guild leaders: use Siege Strategy Info and the new guild rewards to set defenses before each Siege season, and share decks with members through the profile deck feature. Our alliance and guild leader page has more.

Free rewards first

Coupon codes and events still give free Crystals and scrolls. Our Summoners War codes guide shows where to find them. Codes expire, so check them in game.
