Palmon Survival Tier List (2026): Best Palmon for Competitive Players

May 27, 2026

For Palmon Survival guild leaders and serious spenders ($500+/month) who want to know not just which Palmon rank highest, but which ones actually deserve your Omni Tokens, and in what order.

What is the best Palmon in Palmon Survival, and how does the tier list work?

Every Palmon Survival tier list online will tell you Ninjump is strong and Mega Mantleray dominates. What they do not tell you is that the same Ninjump with wrong S-rank stats and no blueprint breeding is competitive dead weight, and a Mega Mantleray build stalled at pre-Mega is a mid-tier unit at a whale-level price tag. The tier matters. The investment sequencing behind it matters more.

Palmon in Palmon Survival scale through three interconnected systems: star level (using UR Omni Tokens), stat optimisation (using the blueprint breeding method to reach four correct S-rank traits), and skill development (using Skill Fruits). All three must be correct simultaneously. A Palmon at 5-star with wrong stats underperforms a correctly-statted 4-star. A Palmon with maxed skills on a wrong-stat base compounds the error with every Skill Fruit spent.

The Mega Evolution system in Season 2 adds a fourth layer. Pre-Mega, Palmon like Ninjump and Mantleray are strong. Post-Mega, their evolutions (Shadowkaeru and Mystiray) reach SS-tier, the highest output category in the game. This tier list reflects both pre-Mega and post-Mega states where relevant.

Palmon Survival Tier List: SS, S, and A tier rankings

SS Tier: Mega Evolutions (Season 2)

1. Shadowkaeru (Mega Ninjump) | Water | DPS | Available Day 1 of Season 2

The highest-return Palmon investment in the game for players who built Ninjump from Day 1. Shadowkaeru combines speed and burst damage at a level that dominates both boss fights and PvP. Its skills revolve around rapid slashes and shuriken projectiles that land before enemy formations can react. Teams built around Shadowkaeru protect it and stack ATK buffs to maximise its output.

2. Mystiray (Mega Mantleray) | Electric | DPS | Available Day 1 of Season 2

Widely considered the strongest multi-hit damage dealer in the game at full build. Mystiray's abilities focus on rapid multi-hit attacks that scale dramatically with ATK buffs, making it the carry of choice in formations optimised for Electric-element amplification. The critical distinction: Mystiray is SS-tier. Pre-Mega Mantleray is S-tier. Only invest in this path if you are committing to the Mega, a stalled Mantleray build at pre-Mega delivers mid-tier output at SS-tier investment cost.

3. Predalynx (Mega Surveilynx) | Earth | DPS | Available Day 15 of Season 2

Precision burst damage dealer built to eliminate priority targets in the enemy backline. Predalynx fills a different role from Shadowkaeru and Mystiray, making it the correct third SS-tier investment for guilds building toward multi-element formation coverage.

S Tier: Core Formation Investments

4. Ninjump | Water | DPS | Available Day 1

The mandatory first investment on any server. Before Shadowkaeru is available, Ninjump is the backbone of the best team across World Boss, Guild Boss, and early PvP. Available from Day 1, reliably strong across all PvE content, and the direct path to the game's best SS-tier carry. No other Day-1 Palmon offers this return trajectory. See the full Ninjump build guide for skill priority and stat targets.

5. Ghillant | Earth | Tank | Available mid-server

The formation anchor that makes your DPS investments viable. Ghillant has the highest HP in the entire roster and a passive that provides a formation-wide Defense buff to all allied Palmon. Without Ghillant, your 5-star Ninjump is a target. A Ghillant-anchored formation with Baboom as secondary stun source is a coordination problem for opponents. See the full Ghillant build guide.

6. Mantleray | Electric | DPS | Available early-server

The multi-hit backrow carry that covers threats Ninjump cannot reach. Pre-Mega Mantleray is genuinely S-tier strong, but only commit meaningful Omni Tokens here if your path to Mystiray is realistic within your server timeline. See the full Mantleray build guide.

7. Barkplug | Electric | DPS/Utility | Unlocked via Sanctum Struggle

Chain lightning that strikes up to five targets with a chance to paralyse, making Barkplug the formation's control layer when paired with Mantleray. Paralyse prevents rage skill activation, which is the single highest-value utility in competitive PvP. Its unlock requires guild Sanctum Struggle Level 2 participation, making it the first guild-gated competitive investment in the progression path.

A Tier: Formation-Essential Support

8. Abuzzinian | Electric | Utility | Available early-server

The paralysis anchor of the Phase 1 core. Nightstorm hits three random enemies with a 20% chance to paralyse for 3.5 seconds, and paralysed Palmon cannot use rage skills. Formation-defining utility in World Boss and Guild Boss from Day 1. Low star investment, high formation return.

9. Fingenue | Water | DPS | Available mid-server

High-ceiling Water DPS with Waterspout dealing over 8,000% damage to a single target at full upgrade, plus a 30% damage bonus from the Ocean's Favor passive. The correct DPS slot in the mid-game Water formation alongside Shadowkaeru once the Mantleray-focused build is being assembled.

10. Baboom | Earth | Tank/DPS | Available early-server

Secondary frontline with its own 70% Power Strike stun, doubling the frontline stun coverage paired with Ghillant. Two stun sources in the frontline keep enemy rage skills offline consistently. Low-cost, high-formation-value investment once Ghillant is established.

Best team in Palmon Survival (the three formation phases)

Understanding which Palmon are S-tier is half the picture. The other half is knowing which formation to run at each stage of your build, and why the sequence matters as much as the individual rankings.

Phase 1. The meta team from Day 1:Ninjump (DPS carry), Abuzzinian (paralysis utility), Dolphriend (sustain). This formation handles all PvE event content and early PvP. Ninjump to 5-star with four correct S-rank stats via blueprint breeding is the entire focus at this stage. Abuzzinian to 3-star for paralysis. Every Omni Token and Skill Fruit beyond this core stays in reserve until Ninjump is stat-confirmed. This is the best team for new and mid-range spenders.

Phase 2. The competitive squad:Ninjump (DPS), Ghillant (frontline tank), Abuzzinian (paralysis), Baboom (secondary stun), Dolphriend (sustain). Adding Ghillant to a completed Ninjump is the single biggest formation upgrade available. An unprotected 5-star Ninjump is a high-value target. A Ghillant-anchored formation is a coordination problem for opponents and holds Sanctum objectives that Phase 1 teams cannot. This is the best team for Sanctum Struggle through mid-server.

Phase 3. The SS-tier end-game formation:Shadowkaeru or Mystiray (SS-tier carry), Ghillant (frontline), Barkplug (paralysis/control), Fingenue (Water DPS support), Baboom (secondary stun). This is the best team at late server for players who have committed to Mega Evolution. Shadowkaeru and Fingenue form the Water element core; Barkplug and Mantleray/Mystiray form the Electric layer. Combined, this is the meta team competitive guild leaders are building toward in Season 2.

Best traits for each Palmon in Palmon Survival

Traits (S-rank stats via blueprint breeding) are the most important variable in Palmon performance, more important than star level in many scenarios. A 4-star Palmon with four correct S-rank traits outperforms a 5-star with wrong traits. Do not commit Omni Tokens until traits are confirmed.

Ninjump / Shadowkaeru: ATK, ATK SPD, Critical Rate, Critical Damage. All four should be S-rank before any star advancement beyond 3-star. The blueprint breeding method is the only reliable path to four correct S-ranks on a single Palmon.

Mantleray / Mystiray: ATK, ATK SPD, HP (or DEF for survivability in longer fights), Critical Damage. Multi-hit damage output scales with ATK SPD specifically, do not treat this as interchangeable with pure ATK.

Ghillant: HP, DEF, HP, DEF. Pure tank traits. Ghillant's value comes from its HP ceiling and formation-wide DEF passive, not from offensive output. Do not waste S-rank offensive slots on this unit.

Abuzzinian: ATK SPD, Critical Rate. Abuzzinian's paralysis utility is what matters, not raw damage output, but ATK SPD increases how frequently Nightstorm triggers, which is the indirect paralysis frequency lever.

Fingenue: ATK, Critical Damage, ATK SPD, Critical Rate. Similar priority stack to Ninjump given her single-target burst role and the Ocean's Favor damage multiplier.

Best Palmon for heavy spenders (the investment sequence)

A tier list tells you which Palmon are strongest. This section tells you which ones deserve your Omni Tokens at your current investment phase, and in what order.

Phase 1 (Day 1 through mid-server): Ninjump to 5-star with four correct S-rank stats via blueprint breeding. Abuzzinian to 3-star. Dolphriend for sustain. Every Omni Token beyond this stays in reserve until the core is stat-confirmed.

Phase 2 (after Ninjump 5-star): Ghillant to 5-star with Baboom as secondary frontline. The competitive formation upgrade that protects your Phase 1 carry investment.

Phase 3 (mid-game, committing to Season 2): Mantleray toward Mystiray, with Barkplug as the paralysis layer and Fingenue replacing earlier placeholders. Only the right move if your budget supports the Mega Evolution commit on a realistic timeline.

UR Palmon Omni Tokens belong on one Palmon at a time, in phase sequence. Tokens spread across multiple Palmon simultaneously produce several underbuilt formations. Concentrated on one phase at a time, they produce one competitive formation that protects and amplifies the next. VIP 14 (3 tokens per day passively) is the income layer that runs underneath all of this. Reaching it before Phase 3 meaningfully reduces the total pack spend required.

Guild leader playbook (building a coordinated Palmon Survival roster)

Competitive guild events. Sanctum Struggle, Guild Boss, World Boss, reward formation coordination as much as individual power. A guild where multiple leaders have completed the Phase 1 Ninjump core and are moving in sequence toward Phase 2 Ghillant builds produces better event output than one where the same total investment is scattered across random Palmon.

Share the investment phase framework with your officer core early. Members who know they are building toward Ninjump 5-star, then Ghillant, then the Mantleray-to-Mystiray commit can sequence their own Omni Tokens correctly instead of spending reactively. Barkplug's Sanctum Struggle unlock dependency is worth flagging explicitly: your guild needs at least one Level 2 Sanctum conquest to unlock Barkplug eligibility. Plan the Sanctum Struggle coordination window before your members are ready to start the Mantleray formation phase.

Your Palmon Survival investment can work harder...

The players who progress fastest in Palmon Survival are not always spending the most. They are spending in the right order, on the right phase, at the right event window. At $500 to $2,000+/month across a full server timeline that includes Ninjump builds, Ghillant investment, and Mega Evolution commits, routing efficiency compounds on every transaction.

Most players buying through the App Store or Google Play are paying full retail on every purchase in this hierarchy. At consistent whale spending levels, that overhead is present on every transaction.

Palmon Survival Tier List, FAQs...

What is the best Palmon in Palmon Survival?

Shadowkaeru (Mega Ninjump) and Mystiray (Mega Mantleray) are the highest-ranked Palmon in the game and both sit at SS-tier. For players who have not yet reached Mega Evolution in Season 2, Ninjump is the best investment from Day 1. It is the direct path to Shadowkaeru and the backbone of the meta team at every stage before it.

What is the best water team in Palmon Survival?

The best Water team is Shadowkaeru (Mega Ninjump, SS-tier carry), Fingenue (Water DPS with 30% Ocean's Favor passive), Ghillant (frontline protection), Abuzzinian (paralysis utility), and Baboom or Dolphriend as the fifth slot. This formation maximises Water-element burst damage while keeping Shadowkaeru protected and rage skills offline. Shadowkaeru requires Mega Evolution (Season 2, Day 1), making this the correct Phase 3 target rather than a Day 1 formation.

Is Ninjump worth building in Palmon Survival?

Yes. Ninjump is the correct first UR Palmon investment on any server. It is available from Day 1, performs across all PvE content, and evolves into Shadowkaeru (SS-tier) in Season 2. No other Day-1 Palmon offers this long-term return trajectory.

When should I invest in Mantleray in Palmon Survival?

After Ninjump is at 5-star with correct stats and Ghillant is established as your frontline anchor. Only commit Omni Tokens to Mantleray if your budget supports reaching Mystiray (Mega Mantleray) in Season 2. Pre-Mega Mantleray is S-tier. Mystiray is SS-tier. A stalled Mantleray build at pre-Mega is a mid-tier spend at a high-tier price.
