Meet Ghillant

Ghillant is an Earth-element Palmon and the strongest natural tank in the game. It has the highest HP in the whole roster and top-tier Defense. It is the only Palmon that can absorb long pressure without constant healing support.

Its passive gives a Defense boost to every allied Palmon in the formation, not just itself. That is the key detail. Ghillant does not only protect itself, it makes the whole team harder to kill. In PvP raids, World Boss and any long fight where enemy damage piles up, Ghillant keeps your DPS Palmon alive longer, which means more total damage from the whole formation.

Ghillant skill priority

Priority 1: Shadow Surge

Shadow Surge is Ghillant's main active skill. At full upgrade it deals over 4,000% damage to one target and lets Ghillant take 20% of the damage dealt to its teammates for 8 seconds.

That second part is what makes Ghillant a real tank. It pulls damage away from your DPS Palmon while they keep firing, and the hit itself keeps the tank slot from being dead weight. Max it before anything else.

Priority 2: Battle Rage

Battle Rage makes all back-row Earth Palmon take up to 30% less damage. It pays off most when your back row has Earth Palmon in it, so check your formation before you push it.

Priority 3: the formation Defense passive

The formation-wide Defense passive helps at any level, but it pays off most once Shadow Surge and Battle Rage are maxed. Upgrade the passive last. The team survival bonus builds on a formation that is already protected.

Best formation pairing for Ghillant

Ghillant is the frontline anchor for formations built around heavily invested DPS carries. The standard setup puts Ghillant in the frontline with Baboom (Earth, with a 70% chance to stun on its Power Strike skill) and your main DPS carry (Ninjump or Mantleray, depending on build phase).

Ghillant takes damage for the team through Shadow Surge. Baboom's Power Strike stun keeps enemy rage skills offline. Your DPS carry fires freely into a formation that cannot hit back at full strength. This is the right setup for competitive PvP on mid to high population servers. Do not put Ghillant in a formation without a stun source next to it in the frontline. Ghillant protects. Baboom locks enemies down.

Is Ghillant worth investing in now?

Yes, but only after your main DPS carry, Ninjump, is at 5-star. Ghillant does not win on its own. It multiplies what you already have. A maxed Ghillant protecting a half-built Ninjump is a worse result than a fully built Ninjump core without Ghillant.

Order matters. Finish the Ninjump 5-star path first, then build Ghillant to protect and extend it. The question is not whether to build Ghillant, it is when.
