Foundation: Galactic Frontier Events (October 2026): Astral Alignment, Season 2 and Returning Friend

For Foundation: Galactic Frontier players and guild leaders planning the next five weeks. Checked October 2026.

Short answer: Astral Alignment runs through Nov 7 2026. The Returning Friend event runs through Nov 30 2026. Season 2, The Usurper Rebellion, started Sep 14 2026 for Servers 1-16. Check your own server, since start dates can differ.

Below you get what each one does, the dates we could confirm, what we could not, and a plan for spenders and guild leaders.

Astral Alignment (through November 7 2026)

The anniversary festival went live on Oct 20 2026. It rolls out in phases, so the content arrives one piece at a time (Inven Global, MMOBomb). Reported content:

• New crew members, flagship skins, base decorations and fireworks effects.
• Daily login rewards.
• Short-run gift packs and an Anniversary Pass (Pocket Gamer).
• Themed events, mini-games and challenges released in sequence, on Server 1264 and all earlier servers.

What we could not confirm: the crew member names, the price of the Anniversary Pass and the reward tiers. No source we found lists them. Open the pass screen in your game to see the price in your own currency before you decide.

Returning Friend Event (through November 30 2026)

This is the biggest free reward on the list. It has two task lines (Inven Global):

• Invitation Tasks: open to all Traders.
• Return Tasks: for players who meet the returning criteria.

When tasks are done, both the inviting player and the returning player get rewards. The top rewards are up to 50 Flagship Blueprint Choice Chests and 10 Voyage Memories. If your guild has old members who stopped playing, this is the month to message them.

Season 2: The Usurper Rebellion

CogConnected reports that Season 2 launched on September 14 for Servers 1-16 (CogConnected, Pocket Gamer). What it adds:

• Sivana province. A resource-rich region the Empire forgot. Magnetic storms hit it all the time, lower your fleet's combat efficiency and make PvE harder.
• Ascendancy Court. A new enemy faction led by a self-proclaimed Emperor, the final boss of the season.
• Storm progression. You collect special resources by staying active and spend them on resistance buildings at your main base. With enough upgrades, the storm effects can be removed.
• Aromabloom Trade War. A guild PvE event. Members search for treasures, decode clues at their station bases and defend what they find from Ascendancy fleets.

Not stated in the sources: new champions, season rewards and exact start dates for servers above 16. Reports also differ on Steam: CogConnected says PC is coming and MMOBomb says the game is now on Steam. Check the store listing.

The regular events that keep running

These are not new, but they decide your leaderboard results. We cover each in its own guide:

• Top 100 Galactic Traders: a six-day server leaderboard that scores construction, research, Breakthroughs and champion upgrades.
• GvG and Sacred Tribute rallies: guild coordination and fleet balance.
• Port Occupation: final-hit timing for contested Ports.

Dates at a glance

If your server opened later than Servers 1-16, the Season 2 date for you may differ. Check the in-game event page.

For spenders and alliance leaders

• Before Nov 7: look at the Anniversary Pass and the gift packs in the store. Compare the contents with your current build target. If they do not feed your champion or flagship, skip them.

• Season 2 is a resource event for guilds. Sivana and storm resistance pay out to players who stay active. Plan guild time for Aromabloom Trade War before you plan purchases.
• Load credits before a window, not inside it. If you plan a pack for a rotation or a scoring day, our top-up guide shows how to have it ready.
• Leaders: message returning members this week. The Returning Friend rewards go to both sides, so a returning member costs you nothing and brings back a guild slot. The codes list gives them free speed-ups on day one.
