For new Foundation: Galactic Frontier players, and for guild leaders who want one link to send recruits. Checked October 2026.
Short answer: Upgrade the Energy Core first, because it unlocks the food room, crew cabins, repair cabin and recruitment hall and raises level caps. Build survival modules before weapons, recruit a balanced team with a healer, join an active guild and redeem the working codes.

Foundation: Galactic Frontier is a space strategy game from FunPlus. You build a ship and a city, recruit champions, fight on land and in space, and trade and war with a guild.
The first week sets your pace. Here is what to do, in order, and why. Sources date from late 2025 to October 2026, so we flag anything that may have changed with Season 2.
Step 1: upgrade the Energy Core
The Energy Core powers your ship systems. Upgrading it unlocks the food processing room, crew cabins, the repair cabin and the recruitment hall, and it raises the level caps for champions and your flagship (GamingonPhone). The sources give no level numbers, so follow the main tasks in the game. They point at the next upgrade.
Step 2: survival before firepower
BlueStacks puts it plainly: survival infrastructure comes before firepower (BlueStacks). Food production, oxygen, water recycling and basic support modules first. Build functional cabins rather than cosmetic rooms, and add cannons and defenses later.
Step 3: collect resources early
Plan upgrades so you do not run out. GamingonPhone names the key resources: Ice Shards put out fires and rescue crewmates, Metal Shards repair and upgrade the fleet, and Food levels up champions. Do not skip the large Ice Ores and Metal Ores on the map.
Step 4: recruit a balanced team
- You need 10 shards to recruit an Epic or Legendary champion (GamingonPhone).
- Take a mix of roles, and include a healer. GamingonPhone names Klara as the early healer, who heals champions in a circular field.
- Landing missions use three-champion strike teams. Learn the enemy patterns and swap champions, rather than rushing damage (BlueStacks).
- Dodge the red circular attacks, especially next to boss enemies. They hit hard.
- Check our October 2026 tier list before you invest in a champion.
Step 5: pick a flagship with care
The three flagships are Gram (Beam), Demerzel (Ion) and Opportunity (Kinetic), and flagship level directly affects combat. Beam, Ion and Kinetic form a type triangle, and your type decides which champions work best with you. Read the flagship formation guide before you spend on a flagship.
Step 6: join an active guild
A guild gives shared resources, organized battles and guild events. Choose an active one. Season 2 added a guild PvE event, Aromabloom Trade War, so guild activity matters more than before. See the events guide.
Step 7: claim the free rewards
- Redeem the working codes from our codes list.
- Log in daily for the Astral Alignment rewards through November 7 2026.
- If you are coming back after a break, run the Returning Friend tasks through November 30 2026.
- Explore the map. Hyperspace Teleports speed up travel, but extra teleports cost more resources (GamingonPhone).
Should you reroll?
BlueStacks explains rerolling as restarting until you get a strong early champion. It says it pays off most when you are aiming for a top Legendary or a support that fits many teams, and it warns about the time cost. Stop once you have one strong carry or support. The game is playable without a perfect start.
Common beginner mistakes
- Spending Food and Metal on every champion you pull. Build one team.
- Building weapons while the food and oxygen modules are low.
- Skipping the guild for the first week.
- Buying a pack before you know your flagship type.
First-week checklist
This is our plan, built from the sources above.
- Day 1: follow the main tasks, upgrade the Energy Core, build food, oxygen and water modules.
- Day 2: redeem the two codes and recruit your first champions. Keep a healer.
- Day 3: join an active guild and learn the red circular attacks in landing missions.
- Day 4: collect the large Ice and Metal Ores and keep the Energy Core moving.
- Day 5: pick your flagship type and read the type triangle.
- Day 6 and 7: claim the daily Astral Alignment login and check your guild's tasks for Season 2.
If you only remember one thing, remember the Energy Core. Every other unlock waits for it.
For spenders and alliance leaders
- Decide your flagship type before your first pack. Champion bonuses do not carry over between types.
- Know what your money buys. Our spending guide ranks the purchases, and the Black Card and Monthly Pass guide covers the passes.
- Leaders: pin this guide and the codes list for recruits. A new member who is in the guild on day one and has the Energy Core moving is the one still active in a month.
