For Avatar: Realms Collide alliance leaders and rally leaders getting ready for Murong's Grand Melee, SvS or a Migration. Checked October 2026.
Short answer: Murong's Grand Melee is a cross-server alliance battle where the alliance that takes the Vault wins a Town Hall skin until the next melee. SvS puts servers against each other over T7 NPCs and dark stone, with bigger rallies giving more. Prepare troops, healing and rally leaders before each window opens.

Avatar: Realms Collide has three big moments where alliance leadership decides the result: Murong's Grand Melee, Server vs Server (SvS) and Migration. Each one rewards an alliance that shows up organised, and punishes one that does not.
This guide covers how each works, using only what the developers, Pocket Gamer and the game's own Discord have confirmed. Where we only have player reports, we say so.
Murong's Grand Melee: how it works
The developers call Murong's Grand Melee the game's core PvP feature. It is a cross-server battle: alliances from every server share one battlefield. Pocket Gamer describes towers, rally monsters and battlefield elements that shift during the fight. The melee opens with a pre-registration window a few days before it starts, so leaders have to sign the alliance up in time.
| Result | Reward |
|---|---|
| Alliance that captures the Vault | A Town Hall skin that lasts until the next melee |
| Player with the most kill points (MVP) | An exclusive name tag |
| Losing alliances | An SVP honour badge |
The Vault is the target. Everything else on the map, towers and rally monsters included, is there to help you get to it or stop others from holding it.
How matchmaking works
In February 2026 the developers posted a video called "How Matchmaking REALLY Works in Murong's Grand Melee" (NickALive has the summary). It covers which factors decide pairings, how alliances are selected and how the team aims for fair, balanced fights. The written summary does not list the exact factors, so watch the video itself before you plan around it.
Players in the game's feedback forum mention two daily slots, at 02:00 and 19:00 UTC. That is a player report, so confirm the slot in the event screen when you register. The feedback forum also logged an issue with the melee on October 10, so expect the odd bug report around big events.
Vault of Murong
There is also a Vault of Murong PvP mode with its own pinned feedback thread on the Discord. The creator ALRCintern mentions Kuvira and Korra as leaders used in the Murong modes and in Arena. We could not confirm more rules for it, so we leave it there.
SvS: Server vs Server
SvS was on the July 2026 roadmap for September and October, and it was live by October 20, when the game's Discord reported and then fixed a teleport-to-safe-zone bug during SvS.
The developers' SvS explainer video (a community creator spotlight) shows how it plays:
- The world NPCs on the SvS map are T7.
- Dark stone is the resource you mine and fight over.
- Each alliance has a base on the SvS map.
- Higher level rallies give more dark stone.
That last point is the one leaders should build around. Solo hits on T7 NPCs are slow. Organised high level rallies bring in more dark stone per hit, which is why rally leaders and their marches decide SvS.
Migration
Migration lets you move your account to another server. The game's Discord announced it in June 2026, gave every player 40 free Migration Tickets in late June and ran the first Migration event from July 6.
| On migration | What happens |
|---|---|
| Arena Coins and Arena Champions Coins | Kept |
| Arena rankings and points | Reset |
So spend or keep your Arena Coins as you like. They travel with you. Your Arena rank does not.
What about Temple War?
Players asked several times on October 31 when Temple War comes back. We could not find an announced date, so treat any date you see in chat as rumour until the game posts it.
A leader's checklist for each event
| Event | Before it opens | During |
|---|---|---|
| Murong's Grand Melee | Register in the pre-registration window. Confirm your slot. Pick who leads rallies on the Vault and towers. | Focus the Vault. Use towers and rally monsters to get there, not as side quests. |
| SvS | Stock healing and troops. Make sure rally leaders have their best march of one element ready. | Run high level rallies on T7 NPCs for more dark stone. Protect your alliance base. |
| Migration | Agree as a group where you are going and when. Check members have tickets. | Move together so the alliance arrives in one piece. |
For spenders and alliance leaders
- Buy before the window, not during it. Troops, healing and speed-ups help most when they are ready the moment the melee or SvS opens. Mid-event purchases often come too late for the fight that mattered.
- Build your rally leaders first. Bigger rallies give more dark stone in SvS. As a rally leader, Kyoshi adds 15% skill damage to the whole rally, according to ALRCintern. See our best heroes guide.
- Keep one element per march. It makes reinforcing and healing simpler for everyone in a rally.
- Name a backup leader. If your rally leader is offline for the slot, someone else needs to know the plan.
- Tell the alliance early. Post the registration day, the slot in UTC and the target in chat at least a day before. Recruit active players before the next melee, and point recruits to the beginner guide.
- More tools for leaders are on our alliance leaders page.
