Short answer: In West Game Throne Struggle, points come from holding the five buildings and killing troops inside them, not from hitting towns or gathering. Players report the state that holds the Shadow Fortress to the end wins, so send your strongest rally leader there and use other alliances on the turrets.
West King Battle and Throne Struggle are the biggest state fights in West Game. The official site published a set of tips from experienced players. These are player views, not official rules, so treat them as advice and check the event page in game for the current rules.

One player notes that in Throne Struggle the four side buildings give no goal rewards, so do not waste much time there. Another says they still matter because they weaken capitol troops when a different state holds them. Read the event page for your round before you plan.
Before the event
- Use Conquest events as practice. Players say Conquest uses the same map as the Viceroy and West King battlefield except for the outer banks, so you learn the pace and your likely opponents.
- Give everyone a role early. Fillers should train the troop types their rally lead needs.
- Find out when your team is most active and plan around it.
- Stock march speed boosts, teleports, Gold, march boosts and stamina.
On the day
- Turn on anti-scout for the whole event and activate a march booster.
- Set your sheriff preset and town skin to your combat set.
- Enter the battlefield where your team is. Fillers follow their lead.
- If a rally targets you and you are not sure you can hold, speed your troops home and leave the map before it lands.
Who should lead rallies
Players are clear that rally leaders need a maxed account and strong fillers, because leaders become targets. They point to maxed pet research, high instructor levels, strong red heroes, kits, officers and gear with good crystals. One tip: if your force grade is under 500k, do not take rallies from maxed accounts. Train large numbers of T6 troops before the season.

One player shows why you should add up bonuses instead of trusting the set name. A Triumph infantry jacket with 35% infantry attack plus a 20% troop attack bonus gives 55%, which beats a Supremacy jacket at 45%. Always check the stats yourself.
Solo players still have work
If you are not strong enough to hold buildings, shield up and hunt sharpshooters on the outer banks for chests, or donate at the donation towers for speedups. Players say gathering points can also be donated to your state, and the state with the most donations gets a battlefield boost.
Recent rule changes
Version 7.3.0 added a way to revoke titles in West King Battle and a teleport-in score limit for some new states. Version 7.3.3 fixed the rally capacity cap in the Overlord's Reckoning battlefield. More in our 2026 updates roundup.
For spenders and alliance leaders
- Rally leaders: buy before the event, not during it. Teleports, march speed boosts and stamina run out fast in a 2 hour fight.
- Spend Gold on T6 training and healing in the week before the season. Fillers with T6 troops matter more than one big account.
- Alliance leaders: name the Shadow Fortress holder and the turret teams the day before, and post the rule on leaving the map before a rally lands.
- Keep a shield in stock for after the event. Players report troops heal after a set time, but your town is open while you wait.
