Short answer: In your first West Game week, upgrade the Town Center, resource buildings and Barracks first, finish quests for resources, recruit and level heroes, and join an active alliance fast. Keep Gold for speedups and boosts, use Silver for items and quick construction, and keep a Town Shield for attacks.
West Game is a Wild West city builder and war game. You grow a frontier town, recruit cowboy and outlaw heroes, train an army and fight other players with your alliance. Most of what follows comes from the official West Game beginner guide.
Day 1 to 3: build the right things
Your Town Center sets your town level and unlocks everything else. Upgrade it whenever you can, and keep the resource buildings close behind: the Farm for food, the Logging Camp for wood, the Quarry for stone and the Mine for ore. Your troops eat food, so a weak Farm slows the whole army.
Upgrade the Barracks early. It trains three troop types, Infantry, Ranged and Cavalry, and a higher Barracks unlocks stronger troops sooner.

Quests are your best income
The official guide calls quests one of the fastest ways to get resources. Clear them before you spend Gold on anything. Many early rewards are speedups, and those are worth more on long upgrades than on short ones.
Heroes: classes and rarity
Heroes give bonuses to marching troops, give passive town buffs, or defend Guard Slots. They come in three classes, Tank, DPS and Support, and three rarities, Rare, Epic and Legendary. Star and skill upgrades need Hero Medals and Insights, which come from quests and Sales. Level a small group of heroes you will actually use rather than spreading medals across many.
Gold, Silver and VIP
- Gold is the premium currency. It comes from quests, events, Gold Mines and Sales, and it pays for almost everything, including temporary boosts from the Town Center.
- Silver buys special items and can finish construction and research quickly.
- VIP Points raise your VIP level, which gives daily gifts and town boosts. Tap the VIP icon under your profile picture to turn it on.
Join an alliance on day one
An alliance gives protection, perks, resources and help. Members can reinforce you and run rallies together. Pick an alliance that is active in chat and takes part in events. A quiet alliance gives you almost nothing.
Shields and the Jail
A Town Shield stops attacks and scouting while it is on. Stronger shields last longer, and most come from Sales. Losing fights can cost more than troops: the Jail holds captured enemy heroes, and the Church can execute a captured Sheriff for a battle bonus. Shield before you log off during big events.
Events

For spenders and alliance leaders
- Your first Gold should go to Town Center and Barracks speedups. These unlock everything else.

- Alliance leaders: give new members a one-line rule for shields before big events. Lost heroes and troops early hurt your alliance for weeks.
