Every new generation forces the same question: who gets replaced, and is it worth the spend? Gen 29 arrived with the Core Conspiracy (M.I.G.O.) season, and players already have a working lineup chart.

This guide uses the Hero Class Gen 29 chart shared in the official State of Survival Discord community guides channel on October 23, 2026, plus what creators say about the new heroes. We do not list hero stats, because we could not confirm them.

The full lineups

The chart shows one march per class. The top row is the same in each, then the generation heroes below. Here is how the chart sets them up for October 2026.

ClassTop rowGeneration heroes
ResilienceHeather Mason (Inf), John Rambo (Rid), Aero (Hun)Camilla (Inf, G28), Rhea (Rid, G29), Kavya (Hun, G27)
ControlB. Jenet (Inf), Ichiban Kasuga (Rid), Mai Shiranui (Hun)Rasetsu (Inf, G27), Robin (Rid, G28), Sora (Hun, G29)
BerserkerHitman (Inf), Lilith (Rid), Selina (Hun)Heng Shi (Inf, G29), Kade (Rid, G27), Raven (Hun, G28)

The chart also lists alternatives if you are missing a hero:

  • Resilience: Hitman, Ichiban Kasuga or Kazuma Kiryu for the top row; Hayden (G25) or Zahra (G24) below.
  • Control: B. Jenet, Lilith or Mai Shiranui for the top row; Cynthia (G24) or Stella (G25) below.
  • Berserker: Heather Mason, John Rambo or Co Bao for the top row; Logan (G24) or Bobby (G25) below.

What creators say

ValencianistasPL argues that Resilience (yellow) has been the strongest class for about a year. He says Sora focuses on poison and bleed rather than silence, and that newer Control heroes work less well with the Lethal Landmine Tempest Arms. He also notes Robin is the Gen 28 Control hero, with Stella from Gen 25 and Finn from Gen 26 still around.

Not everyone agrees on Rhea. ResilientZ's video title asks whether Rhea can really replace Lia. VLFRgaming's Gen 29 sneak peek pulled over 8,000 views in two weeks, so expect more testing soon.

Rally rules from the chart

  1. The rally leader should have a Carrier in use.
  2. Set Tempest Arms to the same generation as the hero for the full effect.
  3. Tanks should match the leader's generation. If the leader uses Gen 2, joiners should too.
  4. Joiners should mix planes. The chart suggests 2 Stinger, 2 Specter and 2 Thunderbolt.
  5. Check your own heroes before switching, because good genetics make a real difference. A truck trial is recommended, since its report is close to a real battle.

Point 5 matters for Gen 29. A well-built older hero with the right genetics can beat a new hero with poor ones. Test before you replace.

Quick decision guide

  • You run Resilience and your Lia is not fully built: Rhea is the natural next hero.
  • You run Control: Sora brings a different damage style, so test her with your Tempest Arms before you commit.
  • You run Berserker: Heng Shi takes Stark's Infantry slot in the chart.
  • Your old hero is maxed with good genetics: run a truck trial first. Switching may not pay yet.

For spenders and alliance leaders

  • Pull for your class, not for the newest hero. If your account runs Resilience, Rhea is the Gen 29 hero that changes your march. Sora and Heng Shi matter only if you run Control or Berserker.
  • Match Tempest Arms to the hero. The chart says Tempest Arms should be the same generation as the hero. Budget for both, or the new hero runs below its best.
  • Test before you move resources. Run a truck trial with the old and new hero. Moving genetics and gear twice costs more than waiting a week.
  • Leaders: post one lineup per class. Share the chart lineups in alliance notes so joiners send the right heroes and planes.
  • Leaders: plane mix for joiners. Ask joiners for the 2 Stinger, 2 Specter, 2 Thunderbolt mix. More in our rally guide and best heroes guide.

FAQ

Who are the Gen 29 heroes in State of Survival?
⌄
Rhea, a Rider in the Resilience class; Sora, a Hunter in the Control class; and Heng Shi, an Infantry hero in the Berserker class. A community chart in the official Discord shows each one replacing an older hero in its class lineup.
Does Rhea replace Lia in State of Survival?
⌄
In the October 2026 community chart, yes: Rhea (Gen 29) takes Lia's (Gen 26) Rider slot in the Resilience march. Some creators argue Lia still has a place, so if your Lia is fully built, test both in a truck trial before you switch.
Is Sora a silence hero?
⌄
Not mainly. ValencianistasPL says Sora focuses on poison and bleed rather than silence, unlike older Control heroes. In the community chart Sora takes Finn's Hunter slot in the Control march, next to Rasetsu and Robin.
