Doomsday Open is State of Survival's alliance tournament. Season 4 arrived with patch v1.27.100 on October 14, 2026. It runs for more than two months, from registration in mid October to the Hall of Fame just before Christmas.
Everything below comes from the two official guides the State of Survival team posted in its Discord on October 13 and October 19, 2026. When this page went up, the qualifiers were in their second week.

Who got in
After registration closed, every registered alliance in the Battle Zones was ranked by Raid Score. The top 640 alliances across States 1 to 1368 qualified, plus the top 160 alliances across all other states.
Two rules caught some players out. Each Chief can register with only one alliance. And state transfers were open on October 17 and 18, so anyone moving state had to move before their alliance registered them.
Roster and match times
- Roster: 30 participants and 15 reservists, picked by the alliance leader and R4s.
- Match times: each alliance picks 3 preferred slots from 03:00, 09:00, 12:00, 15:00 and 19:00 UTC, in order.
- Final time: set from the preferences of both alliances once you are matched.
How the qualifiers work
Qualified alliances are ranked by Raid Score into four divisions, A to D. Each division has many groups of four alliances. Each alliance plays the other three. A win is one point, a loss is zero.
| Division | Who advances |
|---|---|
| A | All alliances |
| B | Top 3 |
| C | Top 2 |
| D | Only No. 1 |
If two alliances tie on group points, Reservoir Raid points decide. Patch v1.27.200 (October 28) added a roster history tab for Reservoir Raid and King of the Hill, so members can check lineup changes. Use it before a tiebreak matters.
Alliances that do not make it can still join the Fun Race for rewards.
Elimination, Finals and Playoffs
Elimination is single elimination. Win and you move on, lose and you are out. After four rounds, first-place alliances go to the upper bracket of the Finals and second-place alliances to the lower bracket.
In the Finals, an upper bracket loss drops you to the lower bracket. In the lower bracket, one loss ends your run. The two bracket winners meet for the title. For States 1 to 1368, the Playoffs then decide the championship over two single-elimination rounds, starting December 16.
For spenders and alliance leaders
- Use the gap before November 4. Elimination is single elimination, so one bad match ends the season. Heal, train and finish research before November 4, not during the week of your match.
- Check your 45 names. Reservists matter in a knockout. Make sure the 15 reservists are active and know the match time, in UTC.
- Leaders: post the match time in local time too. The slots are UTC. Post the converted time for your main time zones so nobody shows up an hour late.
- Leaders: watch the tiebreak. Reservoir Raid points break group ties. Use the new roster history tab to see who played and who did not.
- Spend where the fight is. Rally strength decides most matches. Our rally guide and R5 tournament prep guide cover the alliance side, and best bundles to buy covers the spending side.
