For Dark War Survival players and alliance leaders who want to prepare for the next season instead of reacting to it. Checked October 2026.
Short answer: Dark War Survival seasons are multi-week chapters with their own map, buildings, currency and rules. Season 5 was Sealed Island and Season 6 is Origin Lands. Season 7, Ragnarok, reached the oldest servers in late July 2026. Your season depends on your server age, so check the season screen in game.

A new season changes what wins. New map, new buildings, new season currency, often new heroes. Accounts that prepare in the last weeks of a season start the next one ahead.
As of October 2026 the oldest servers are in Season 7, Ragnarok. Newer servers are still in earlier seasons. This guide explains how seasons work, what Seasons 5, 6 and 7 added, and how to prepare.
How a season works
- Length: a standard season is about eight weeks. Season 5 ran nine (Treyex Gaming).
- Your server decides: newer servers start at earlier seasons. Two friends on different servers can be in different seasons.
- Season-only systems: each season adds its own map features, buildings, currency and shop.
- What stays: heroes, buildings, research and troops carry over. Season items and season stats do not.
Season 5: Sealed Island
Season 5 started on Monday, October 13, 2025, with an estimated end of December 15, 2025. Treyex Gaming built its week plan from game files and preview text and marked it as expected, so treat the weekly order as a guide.
| System | What it did |
|---|---|
| Miasma | Troops could get infected after combat if their Virus Resistance was lower than the target's corruption level |
| Virus Resistance | Raised by upgrading seasonal buildings, reset to level 1 each season |
| Soul Stone territories | Alliances captured territories that produced Soul Stones over time |
| Magatama | Collectibles traded for items in the season shop, removed at season end |
| New buildings | Forge Factory and Sea Hall, built with the season materials Stone and Quad |
Season monsters included the Rooting Oni and the Vuj Brute, a boss that needed alliance rallies. The final reward was the Sacred Maple Tree base skin.
Season 6: Origin Lands
Season 6 is Conquest Season: Origin Lands, an Ancient Egypt map. Alliances join one of two camps, the Order Tribe or the Vengeance Union, and fight over temples, cities, passes and Strongholds. Oases give Holy Water for season buildings, and temples hold Ruin Tasks you can refresh daily. Our tips guide has more Season 6 advice.
Season 7: Ragnarok
Season 7 is Ragnarok. Creators started posting first looks in late July 2026 (Hay Day Clasher). It brings new map mechanics, a new season pass and new mini games (TheRonCode). Creators also tie the new tier 11 troops, called Industrial 11, and new technology to this stage of the game (xxSnickerZzz).
Details like week order and building names differ by server, so read the season preview in your game before you plan around them.
How to prepare for the next season
- Spend season currency before it is removed. Season 5 removed unused Magatama at the end. Check your season shop in the final week.
- Save general speed-ups. New season buildings need fast builds in week one.
- Keep troops healed. Season maps open with fights for territory.
- Do not chase every new hero. Get your core to four or five stars first. See the formation guide.
- Read the preview. The game shows season info before it starts. Read it with your alliance.
The last week of a season
The final week is where many players lose value. Our checklist:
- Clear the season shop. Season currency that is left over can be removed, like Magatama in Season 5.
- Claim every season milestone and ranking reward before the end screen.
- Use season-only items. The Sacred Blessing Amulet in Season 5 was removed after the season.
- Write down what worked: which buildings you rushed, which territory your alliance held, what you ran out of.
The next season usually rewards whoever is ready in week one. A clean finish to the old season is how you get there.
What changes for leaders each season
Seasons reward alliances that move as one. In Season 5, Soul Stone territories made alliances hold ground over time, and the Vuj Brute needed rallies. In Season 6, camps and temples turned it into a fight between two sides. Season 7 adds a new map again, so the same rule holds. In both, the first job was the same: get members to the right spot early and keep them there. Plan the move with officers, give one meeting time, and post it in chat a day before the season opens.
For spenders and alliance leaders
- Week one decides territory. The alliances that take the best spots early hold them. Have your balance ready before the season opens.
- Season currency is use it or lose it. Plan spend so season items get used in the season, not thrown away at the end.
- Leaders: agree a camp, a meeting point and a week one target with officers before the season starts. The alliance leader guide covers roles, and the State of Supremacy guide covers state wars.
