Dark War Survival Pets Guide (November 2026): Pet Agents, Asterion and Regulus

For Dark War Survival players starting with pets, and spenders deciding which pet packs to buy. Checked October 31, 2026.

Short answer: Dark War Survival pets are Pet Agents. You unlock them by building the Special Ops Outpost as the story tells you, then rescue, train and break them through for stat boosts and an exclusive skill. The newest are S-Rank Asterion and A-Rank Eclipse (October 2026), after S-tier Regulus in July.

Pets arrived in Dark War: Survival in May 2026 as Pet Agents. Well-trained Pet Agents give broad stat boosts and a strong exclusive skill, so they matter in fights, not just as cosmetics.

Here is how the system works, which pets are out, and where pet spending makes sense.

How to unlock Pet Agents

1. Follow the storyline until it asks you to build the Special Ops Outpost.
2. Build it to open Pet Agent Rescue, training and growth.
3. Follow the Train tutorial. The game added a guide and unlock prompt for it in June.

How pets grow

• Rescue: how you get new Pet Agents.
• Train: raises stats.
• Breakthrough: the bigger step up. A Pet Breakthrough Material Choice Box can be used right from the Breakthrough screen to pick the materials you need.
• Exclusive skills: each pet has one, and skills were tuned in a June 12 update.

Pets released so far

Asterion and Eclipse come through the new Agent Battle Pass, which unlocks their Rescue. In August the team also ran a vote on a Sealed Island themed Pet Agent, so more pets are coming.

Pet packs and passes

Which pet first

This part is our own advice. Pick the pet whose skill fits how you fight. Asterion's damage boost suits rally leads and attackers. Eclipse's defense boost suits accounts that hold ground. One pet trained deep beats several half-trained ones, the same rule as heroes in our heroes guide.

Free ways to grow pets

• Play the Pet Supplies event when it runs. It replaced Survival Supplies, and Lucky Crowbars still work there.
• Use any Pet Breakthrough Material Choice Box straight from the Breakthrough screen to get the exact material you need.
• Follow the Train tutorial so you do not miss the first training rewards.

Common pet mistakes

• Training every pet a little. Stats and skill come from depth. Pick one main pet.
• Using upgrade items on a normal day. They score more in Alliance Duel. Hold them for Duel days.
• Missing Friday. The Pet Choice Pack only shows on Fridays.

Pets and the rest of your account

Pets add to what you already have. They do not replace heroes, gear or troops. If your main formation still has weak heroes or low troop tier, fix that first. A strong pet on a weak formation still loses. Once the core is solid, a deep-trained pet with the right skill is one of the cleaner Power gains left in the game, because the bonus applies to marching troops in every fight.

For spenders and alliance leaders

• Passes before packs. The Agent Battle Pass is how Asterion and Eclipse come in. If you want one of them, the pass is the entry point. Packs then speed up Breakthrough.
• Buy Choice Packs on Fridays. The Pet Choice Pack only shows on Fridays. Plan your top-up so the balance is there that day.
• Save upgrades for Duel. Pet upgrade items score more in Alliance Duel since July 31. Use them on Duel days. Our Alliance Duel guide has the plan.
