Where Winds Meet has more than 100 outfits in the global version, across 17 cosmetic types. Some cost Echo Beads. Some are free. Some are gone for good.

Knowing which route leads to which cosmetic, before you spend and before the window closes, is the difference between a full collection and a list of regrets.

The five cosmetic routes

Celestial Echo banner (premium gacha)

The top cosmetics, legendary outfits, mounts and visual effects, are banner exclusives. You can only get them while their banner is running. When the banner closes, the cosmetic goes into the vault. Some come back through the Surething Shop. Many do not.

Solemn Echo banner (permanent gacha)

This is the permanent pool of non-limited cosmetics. It runs on Resonating Melodies, which you buy with Echo Jade, the free currency you get from playing, instead of Echo Beads. It shares the same 150-pull pity counter as Celestial Echo.

The smart order for collectors: build pity on Solemn Echo with free income, then spend premium Lingering Melodies on Celestial Echo when a banner you actually want opens.

Appearances shop (direct purchase)

No RNG here. You pay the listed Echo Bead price and you get the item. Some of the stock is permanent. Some rotates or is only there for one patch window.

When the cosmetic you want is in this shop, buying it directly always beats pulling for it. Check this shop on patch day before you decide to pull.

Draw Shop (Harmonic Core exchange)

Two Harmonic Cores exchange for one Draw Shop item. The stock rotates with each patch, so you cannot plan around what will be there.

Treat Cores as a side effect of pulling for other cosmetics. Save them, and exchange when the item you want shows up.

Surething Shop (vaulted cosmetics through the Battle Pass)

The Surething Shop is a permanent shop where past event cosmetics come back for Surething Feathers. You get Feathers through the Battle Pass, by levelling it and through the Battle Pass Shop.

Right now this is the only reliable route to cosmetics from past limited events. If you missed an outfit during its event, check here before you assume it is gone for good.

Free cosmetics

About 48 outfits cost no Echo Beads at all. They come from campaign quests, exploration milestones, Campaign challenge boss drops, Sect Shops, Season Shop purchases with Trace Jade, and achievements.

New players who finish story content and explore steadily build a real free wardrobe before spending anything.

Which route for which cosmetic

• It is in the Appearances shop: buy it directly. No RNG, no pity needed.
• It is a current Celestial Echo exclusive: pull with Lingering Melodies, and plan your budget for a full 150-pull pity before you start. Build pity on Solemn Echo first with free Echo Jade.
• It is a past limited cosmetic: check the Surething Shop first. If it is not there, it may come back in a later rotation. There is no timeline for what returns and when.
• It is a Draw Shop exclusive: collect Harmonic Cores through steady banner pulls and exchange when the item is in the current rotation.
• You are not sure: check the Appearances shop and Draw Shop on patch day before pulling. A cosmetic you can buy directly is never worth Lingering Melodies through gacha.

Between Monthly Pass renewals, banner cycles, Surething Shop buys and Appearances shop purchases, a top collector spends Echo Beads through several channels every patch. Planning which channel each cosmetic comes from is how you keep that spend under control.
