Short answer: West Game II changed a lot in 2026. January added Safe Resources and changed troop losses so lower units fall first. February added Crystal Presets, a new Cross-State Arena and a stronger Governor title. August added Sn hero generation tags and two queues in Fortress Feud. The latest version, 1.8.2, reworked Alliance Clash lineups.
West Game II is a Wild West strategy game from Leyi Games. You rescue townsfolk, build a frontier town, recruit Heroes and Outlaws and fight rebels and rival players with your alliance. Every date and change here comes from the official App Store version history.

The changes that matter most
- Safe Resources (January): part of your resources can no longer be looted by other players.
- Troop casualty order (January): lower-quality units are now lost first, which protects your best troops in a fight.
- Crystal Presets (February): switch between crystal setups for different fights.
- March Queue capacity moved into research (February): more marching room now comes from the research tree.
- Tougher PvE (February): Bounty Tasks, Wasteland Drill and key events got stronger enemies.
- Sn tags (August): heroes now show their generation, so you can tell older heroes from newer ones at a glance.
Alliance and state war
Most 2026 changes target alliance play. The Governor title for State Conquest got stronger in February, and the Cross-State Arena was rebuilt. In August, Fortress Feud let you send two queues into battle, and borders were locked so players cannot enter rival alliance territory. Version 1.8.2 added a one-tap preset button for Alliance Clash lineups, lets players leave an alliance during the Fortress Feud contest phase (new joins stay locked until it ends), moved Firebrand Brotherhood targets near the host's closest Stronghold, and tied West Overlord achievements to your rank in the State Conquest prep stage. Alliance Research also became easier to unlock in March.
Late 2025 groundwork
Some systems players use every day came just before 2026: pets that capture and tame wild beasts (November 2025), the Electric Era update and the Island Map with a private casino, Hero Stories and the Traveling Merchant (December 2025).
For spenders and alliance leaders
- Know the store ladder. The App Store lists Treasures Packs at $0.99, $1.99, $2.99, $3.99, $4.99, $9.99, $19.99, $39.99, $49.99 and $99.99.
- Read hero generations before you buy. With Sn tags, check that a hero pack is for a current generation hero before you spend. The current App Store banner promotes Mary's Hero Pieces for Rangers.
- Research March Queue first. Since February, march capacity sits in research. If you buy speedups for war, put research speedups there before Fortress Feud.
- Leaders: use the new Alliance Clash preset button to lock lineups, and agree on the two Fortress Feud queues ahead of the contest. Members can leave during the contest phase now, so confirm your roster first. See the alliance leader page.
