Class is the biggest choice in Legend of Mushroom, because it decides which gear stats and skills matter for you. The class paths below come from community guides and match what players see in game. No class is locked out of any content, so pick the playstyle you enjoy.

The class tree

Wind CrossbowerDual Crossbower, then Arrowgod

Promotions after level 50 add skills but do not change your path.

Warrior: hard to kill

Warriors take hits and punish attackers with counterattack damage. Swordsman is the sturdier branch. Axe Warrior gives up some toughness for more counterattack damage. Pick Warrior if you like steady, forgiving fights.

Archer: burst damage

Archers hit hard from range and spike damage with critical hits, but they are fragile once enemies reach them. Shadow Sniper leans on crits. Wind Crossbower leans on fast basic attacks and combos. Pick Archer if you want short, high damage fights.

Mage: control

Mages stun and slow enemies and deal area and damage over time. Healer builds skill energy and stretches damage over time effects, and despite the name it has no healing skill. Spellcaster deals more critical area damage. Pick Mage if you like controlling the fight.

How to choose

  • New players: Warrior forgives mistakes while your gear is still weak.
  • PvP and duels: the 1v1 Duel added in January rewards a class you understand well. Pick by playstyle, then learn it.
  • Gear you already have: look at the stats your Genie gear rolls lean toward. Switching later means re-gearing too.
  • Your family: ask what the family is short of for dragon and dungeon fights.

Switching class

A wrong pick does not mean a restart. Community guides list the class switch at 4,000 Diamonds. Check the current cost in game before you switch, since costs can change with updates.

For spenders and alliance leaders

  • Decide before level 50. The level 50 split is your last class pick, so read both branches first and save the 4,000 Diamonds a switch would cost.
  • Spend on gear that fits the class. Gear comes from the Genie. Crit lines matter most for Shadow Sniper and Spellcaster, toughness for Swordsman. Put pack Diamonds into the lamp after your class is set.
  • Collab costumes are not class power. The Overlord Guardian costume pack and similar packs are looks first. Check the stats before you buy for power.
  • Family leaders: a mix of Warriors to tank and Archers or Spellcasters for damage clears family dungeons faster. Ask members for their class when they join. See the alliance leader page.
