Last Light vs Last Light: Wasteland vs Rebirth: Which Version Do You Play?

For Last Light players who saw several versions in the stores and want to know which one they have. Checked November 3, 2026.

Short answer: Last Light, Last Light: Wasteland and Last Light: Rebirth all come from the same developer, Bingchuan Network. Last Light is the Google Play name, Wasteland is the US App Store name, and Rebirth is listed on European App Stores. Each listing has its own pack names and prices, so buy packs in the version you play.

Search "Last Light" in the stores and you find three zombie survival games with almost the same description: build a shelter, manage survivors, send expeditions and join an alliance. They are not three rival games. All three listings name BINGCHUAN NETWORK (HONG KONG) COMPANY LIMITED as the developer. What differs is the name, the store and the pack list.

The three listings side by side

Same game, different names?

The core features match across all three: fortified walls and resource stations against the undead, survivors with their own skills, traits and morale, expeditions into the ruins where other survivors may trade or betray you, and alliances with players worldwide. The earliest versions shown on the Wasteland and Rebirth listings both date from early February.

What we could not confirm from the stores: whether all three versions share the same servers, or whether an account moves between them. The listings do not say. If that matters to you, for example because your alliance plays on one version, check the server list in game or ask in-game support before you start over.

Why the ads look like a puzzle game

The Google Play listing leads with "Unscrew in a zombie apocalypse!", and several App Store updates added "new casual gameplay" next to the main game. Those are the mini-games: short puzzle stages that give rewards. The main game behind them is shelter building, survivors and alliance war. If you installed it for the puzzle in the ads, expect the strategy side to take most of your time.

Which one should you play?

• On Android: Google Play shows "Last Light". That is the one to install.
• On iPhone in the US: the App Store shows "Last Light: Wasteland".
• On iPhone in Europe: you may see "Last Light: Rebirth" instead. Check the developer name before you install.
• Joining friends or an alliance: ask them which listing and server they play, and match it.

Packs differ by listing

Pack names and prices are set per store listing. The US Wasteland listing shows ten packs from $0.99 to $99.99. The European Rebirth listing names its packs Mini, Medium and Big package, with the largest at 119.99 euros. The Google Play listing does not show a price list at all, only that the game has in-game purchases with random items. Always check the shop inside your own game for what a pack holds.

For spenders and alliance leaders

• Buy in the version you play. A pack is tied to the listing and the account it was bought for. Before a big purchase, check that you are on the account and server you plan to keep.
• Match the tier to your shop. On Wasteland the top tier is $99.99. On Rebirth the top tier is the Big package at 119.99 euros. When you order a pack, send a screenshot of it from your own shop so the exact one gets bought.
• Tell us your version. When you order through Packsify, say whether you play Last Light, Wasteland or Rebirth and on which store. If anything is unclear, a person checks it with you in chat before you pay.
• Leaders: when you recruit, ask new members which listing and server they play. If the versions do not share servers, a player on another version cannot join you, so check first. See the alliance leader page.
