Short answer: Origin of The Curse is a 30 minute Last Asylum event where you gather Cursed Potion in zones and can take it from other players. The official guide says choose Pacifist (shield and gather in safe zones) or fighter, expect fighting to peak after 10 minutes, and keep your Relocation items. It started on Kingdoms 33 to 64.

The official Last Asylum Discord announced Origin of The Curse on October 22 2026. The official guide followed on October 30.

Pacifist or fighter
The official guide splits players into two styles.
- Pacifist. You put up a shield and gather in the safe zones.
- Fighter. You take Cursed Potion from other players. Fighting is heaviest after the first 10 minutes, so the late part of the 30 minutes is where fighters meet each other.
The official notes do not give the exact amount of Potion per tile or per steal, so do not trust any number you see in a video until you have tested it yourself.
What community guides add
Community guides we read, which are not official, report three tiers of gathering spots with Healing Kits, Beast Bones and Runestones, where higher tiers give more Cursed Potion. They also say the outskirts are safer and the core has better resources but more fighting, and that point chests include Fame Medals, Diamonds, UR Hero Shards and Herbs, with personal and alliance ranking rewards of UR Curio Chests and Study Scrolls. Treat that as likely and check it in your game. If your event screen shows something different, the screen is right.
A simple plan for your alliance
- Pick roles before the start. Decide who gathers and who fights. A mixed group where everyone does a bit of both loses time.
- Keep Relocation items. The official guide says to keep them. Do not spend them on other things before the event.
- Gather from the start. Combat peaks after 10 minutes, so use the early minutes to build your total.
- Fighters move in later. Wait for the gatherers to have something worth taking, then move after the 10 minute mark.

What to check on your event screen
- Which zones show as safe for you and which are contested.
- How many Relocation items you hold. The official guide says to keep them, so count them before the start.
- How long your shield lasts, since the Pacifist plan depends on it.
- The reward preview, so you know which chest your alliance is aiming for.
After the first run, post in alliance chat who gathered the most and where Potion was lost. The second run goes better with real numbers.
For spenders and alliance leaders
- Nothing in the event needs a purchase. Fame Medals, Study Scrolls and Herbs come from play. Do not buy a pack because the event is running. If you fight, the real cost is healing and Relocation items, so check those before the start instead.
- Save Diamonds. Use the Diamond guide to decide what Diamonds are for before the next event.
- Check your gear and troops first. If you plan to fight, read the troop guide before you commit.
