The pattern
Two things repeat. Seasons add a pair of themed heroes about once a month, and between them a single hero gets a 5-star event. Relic events like Moon Landing and Odyssey of the Wine-Dark Sea come in between. The event window is the best time to plan Gems for the hero you want.
Themes of the year
Summer leaned on the Odyssey: Penelope and Menelaus, then Telemachus and Eurylochus, plus King Minos. Late summer moved to the sea with Zheng Yi Sao and Bartholomew Roberts. The new season brings Marie Laveau and Cécile Fatiman.
For spenders and alliance leaders
- Pick one 5-star event hero per month to go for, based on your lineup gaps, instead of chasing every new season pair.
- If you use Area Attackers, the Ada Lovelace upgrade makes her worth leveling now.
- Alliance leaders: share which new heroes fit your PvP plans at the start of each season so members spend on the same ones.
- Pack prices are in our Heroes of History Gems guide.
