Dark War Survival Chip Guide (November 2026): Chip Types, Resonance and Star-Up

For Dark War Survival players who unlocked chips and want to build them without waste. Checked October 31, 2026.

Short answer: Dark War Survival chips go on your vehicles: one Deployment, Assault, Suppression and Barrier chip per vehicle. Match the chip faction to your formation, aim for four orange chips to unlock Chip Resonance, and star up purple and orange chips to 10 stars. Advanced Chip Material, the rarest, comes from Alliance Duel chests.

Chips are one of the quieter stat systems in Dark War: Survival. Each vehicle holds a set, and a full orange set unlocks a big damage bonus. Creators like Chuppergaming and Jogador Careca made chip videos this October because the gains are large.

The rules below come from the Treyex Gaming chip guide (September 2025). The system may have been tuned since, so check numbers against your own Chip screen.

The four chip types

Each vehicle takes one of each type, so four chips per vehicle.

Factions must match

Chips come in Fighter, Shooter and Rider factions. The chip faction must match the formation type on that vehicle, or the bonus does not apply properly. You can change a chip's faction at any time with Faction Switch.

Quality tiers and Resonance

Four orange chips on one vehicle unlock Chip Resonance, a major damage boost. Skills get stronger with quality and stars. As an example, Treyex lists an orange Deployment chip with a shield that absorbs 50% of incoming damage, up to 400% of your attack, plus a 1% damage bonus.

Where chips come from

Chests drop from events and bundles. The Chip Factory lets you craft the exact chip you want.

Star-up

• Only purple and orange chips can be starred up.
• Up to 10 stars, with 10 progress steps per star.
• Chip Experience and spare chips fill the first 9 steps of each star. A duplicate chip finishes the 10th.
• Example from Treyex: a 1-star purple Deployment chip raises its skill damage factor from 200% to 300%.
• Resetting a star-up refunds all materials, so investing in purple chips early has no penalty.

Build order

1. Fill every slot with whatever chips you have.
2. Craft for your main formation's faction first.
3. Star up purple chips while you collect orange ones. Reset later for a full refund.
4. Finish one full orange set on your main vehicle for Resonance before starting the next.
5. Never skip Alliance Duel. It is the steady source of Advanced Chip Material.

Common chip mistakes

• Wrong faction. A Rider chip on a Shooter vehicle does not apply its bonus properly. Use Faction Switch.
• Saving purple chips "for later". Star-up resets refund everything, so use and star them now.
• Spreading orange chips. Resonance needs four on one vehicle.
• Skipping Duel chests. The 3rd, 6th and 9th chests are your main Advanced Chip Material source.

Chips stack with heroes and gear, so they pay off most on the vehicle that carries your main rally formation. Build that one to Resonance first, then copy the same plan to your second vehicle when the materials allow it.

For spenders and alliance leaders

• Orange chests over purple. An Orange Chip Chest guarantees the orange chip and gives more than three times the Advanced Chip Material of a purple one. If you buy chip bundles, check which chest is inside.
• One vehicle to Resonance first. Resonance only turns on at four orange chips. Spreading orange chips across vehicles wastes the bonus. Finish your main rally vehicle first.
• Players report value swings. In the official Discord, players say some chip passes looked strong while other chip offers went up in price in September 2026. Compare before you buy.
• Leaders: push members to max Alliance Duel chests. Every member who reaches the 9th chest gets more Advanced Chip Material. See our Alliance Duel guide and the alliance leader page.
