We're hiring a Payment Operations & Finance Lead to build the foundation Packsify will scale on, and eventually lead a team as we grow.

Role

This role is about building a modern, AI-driven payment operations and finance engine that gives Packsify stability, clarity, and scale.

You'll make every transaction traceable, every chargeback winnable, and every dollar predictable.

You'll collaborate directly with the CEO and COO, shaping the business through payment intelligence and operational systems, not just spreadsheets.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll own payment operations from day one, automate what slows us down, and build the systems and team for global scale.

Responsibilities

  • Payment Operations: Own Stripe, Revolut, and crypto processors end-to-end. Reconcile every transaction daily, reduce failed payments, and maintain 99%+ reliability.
  • Chargeback Management: Lead dispute strategy and win processes. Keep chargebacks below 0.5% of GMV, maintain >45% win rate, and protect processor relationships.
  • Cash Flow & Billing: Own the full lifecycle of Packsify Credits—from purchase to usage to refund. Keep balances accurate and cash flows predictable to 5% variance.
  • Financial Intelligence: Use AI tools and data analytics to model cash, forecast growth (13-week rolling), and simulate risk. Turn finance into strategic advantage.
  • Compliance & Controls: Build KYC for high-spend players (≥$1k/month), manage GDPR/PCI requirements, and maintain 95%+ KYC completion rates.
  • Reporting & Dashboards: Deliver real-time financial dashboards and close books in ≤5 days. Build systems that make manual tracking obsolete.
  • Cross-Team Leadership: Partner with Product, Operations, and Growth to guide decisions through payment and financial logic.
  • Build the Foundation: Create SOPs, document processes, and shape what the finance team will look like as you hire your first team member and scale.

  • Operational Stability: Cash flow predictable to 5% variance, month-end closed in ≤5 days, zero surprises.
  • Automation & Insight: AI-powered dashboards and reporting that make manual tracking obsolete.

Requirements

  • 3-8 years managing payment operations or finance operations at fast-moving startups (not Big 4 or traditional banking).
  • Proven hands-on experience with Stripe, Revolut, and/or crypto payment processors, daily operational use, not just "familiar with."
  • Chargeback management track record: Achieved <0.5% chargeback rate and >40% dispute win rate.
  • Built or managed compliance for digital products (KYC, GDPR, PCI), not just corporate tax compliance.
  • Daily user of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude) and automation (Make, Zapier) for real work tasks.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with product, operations, or growth teams.
  • Strong data skills: ClickUp, Sheets, Xero, or lightweight BI tools.
  • Player-coach mentality: Build systems first, lead by doing, then scale through hiring.

Bonus points if:

  • Built payment or finance systems in gaming, fintech, or stored-value products.
  • Implemented automated reconciliations or real-time cash forecasting.
  • Led or partnered directly with founders on financial strategy.
  • Technical skills: Python, SQL, or API integrations.

Packsify is not for everyone

  • Your experience is only traditional banking, Big 4, or large corporates (you need startup payment ops background).
  • You've never used Stripe, Revolut, or crypto processors operationally.
  • You have zero chargeback or dispute management experience.
  • You're a tax specialist or pure accountant (we need payment operations, not accounting).
  • You need hand-holding, long planning cycles, or corporate structure.

Location & compensation

  • Remote, with overlap in European time zones.
  • Competitive base salary: $25k–$45k + performance bonus.
  • Full-time, high-impact, high-autonomy.
